Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. What we collect

  • Account data: name and email address you provide at registration, plus encrypted password credentials.
  • Study data: quiz answers, confidence ratings, question quality ratings, flashcard reviews, and derived metrics (mastery, retention, study profile).
  • Technical data: browser localStorage on your own device (pending answers, cached explanations). No third-party advertising trackers are used.

2. How we use it

  • To operate your account and keep you signed in.
  • To personalize generated questions toward your weak areas (spaced repetition).
  • To show progress analytics (mastery, retention, score estimates).
  • We never sell your data. Study content prompts sent to AI providers contain no email or password data.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of consent (given at registration) andcontract (providing the study service you requested). You may withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion — see §4 below.

4. Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate name or email via your account.
  • Erasure — request full deletion of your account and all associated study data.
  • Portability — receive your answers and progress in a machine-readable format.
  • Object / restrict — object to further processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, reply to any service email or use the contact channel published on this site. We respond within 30 days.

5. Retention

We keep your account and study data while your account is active. Deleted accounts have all personal and study data removed. Backups rotate out within 30 days of deletion.

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access is limited to what is needed to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure — use a unique password for this site.
